This Tv cabinet was made with a secret compartment to hide a record turntable from sticky little fingers. The ends of the unit have an exposed box join as a different feature from traditional joinery. The unit is made from tassie oak and has been finished with only a wax finish which really gives a cool effect of a super matt look.

farm house style dining table + bench seat
This dining table was built for a couple who liked the farm house style of tables but didnt want something that looked old, what is came up with was a design that to me has characteristics of modern tables and old school tables 35mm thick timber was used though out, a really nice subtle bees wax finish was used to soften the whole look.
The bench seat in a new design with the legs actually morticed into the top of the bench with jarah wedges, wedging everything into place.

3.5m desk with custom made filing cabinet and single draws
This monster desk is made from 30mm thick by 150mm wide pieces of tassie oak laminated together to create a desk 700mm wide. The legs have been 'box joined' to the top creating a fantastic constrast of end grain and top grain. The draws have all been dovetailed (on my awsome new dovetailing JIG), the handles have been simply routed out and really suit the piece, nothing is overwhelming about the desk everything just sits together perfectly and the whole piece stands out as opposed to one aspect being the focus.
